Mine was blue until mid-2010’s.
Not completely sure why, but it’s now purple as well. It’s such a pleasing colour.
Prior to that, I have fond memories of painting all my cars in Saints Row 2 purple and white.
Just your age ol’ ex-Reddit lurker… who also likes nuggets :)

I love this sort of art style
Hopefully they stay safe
Which podcast is that? You piqued my interest, but there seem to be a lot of podcasts about the history of Rome.
Norway and Japan for me :)
the teams working on various Assassin’s Creed games are “part of the brand” and it’s important that all the studios are talking to each other to avoid “redoing work.”
Sounds like they are handicapped by the formulaic structure setup for the AC IP.
I guess it will be akin to previous releases, just more stealth focused again. Potentially.
I would love an AC game made similarly to the style of Dishonored or even Uncharted and the latest Tomb Raider games. Less focus of filling out huge maps and can focus on capturing a more intimate and immersive story that could heavily play into stealth and assasin mechanics.
Just my 5 cents though. A man can dream, lol.
2/2/2021 - A spring roll recipe…
I think they were okay. I used a recipe once that used chestnuts for texture and it was freaking amazing!
I’ve not been able to find the same recipe again.
I used to dislike the taste of licorice. I used to eat the sweet bits from those licorice cubes my dad had when I was a kid and then throw away the licorice parts.
Don’t know when that changed, but I was on the way home with my old man (I may have been late teens/early 20’s?) and I was quite hungry. All he had in the car at the time was licorice and it was one of the most delicious things I ever had.
He sometimes playfully complains that he remembered a time when us kids never liked licorice or pepper and now we eat him out of a house.
My nan used to boil them and I loathed the smell and taste.
I had them for the first time last year since I was a kid and they were okay. I think they were sautéd in butter and some other stuff. Not as bad, but I still really dislike the smell and I could easily never eat them again xD
I imagine Helldivers would have seen a drop of in active players, but I imagine that was exacerbated by the PSN account requirement.
That was a fairly large PR disaster for Sony.
I didn’t know Waze was owned by Google either. Since 2013 as well…
Thanks for reminding me about this!
We used to use that method for the company I was working for. We would setup laptops in advance and they were in the early process of setting up intune. Since we didn’t have a user account, we’d use your method to continue setup to get to the desktop.
I think we’d then run commands in pwershell to have the machine appear on intune.
It was a good few years ago and it was a very annoying, arduous time. They worked out the kinks eventually and that was no longer required.
I can see where you’re coming from and I agree at times it feels like it’s being used for the marketing since it’s easier to say, using the article as an example, “Bullfrog-like”. They could have taken an extra moment to be a bit more descriptive, such as with your example, and say “Management Sim inspired by Theme Hospital/Bullfrog”, for people who may not be familiar with “Theme Hospital” or a Bullfrog game.
Just to circle back to your initial comment, “I got to the word “Bullfroglike” and stopped reading”, I can definitely see where you are coming from, but I did disagree with your approach.
I also just wanted to add that I hope this isn’t taken as an attack upon yourself.
I do like the alliteration for “Boomer Shooter” but I don’t think it’s the right demographic xD. I think it’s still somewhat common, but I also don’t think it’s as mainstream as say your Battlefield or CoD.
RetroSlayer FPS? I have no idea, lol
I do take your point and it’s a fair criticism. It can almost feel like a marketing ploy to piggyback off of the popularity of another game, such as Stardew Valley-like, considering a lot of the time those games have since developed a genre, like for FPS instead of Doom-like.
I would also add, though, that using Doom-like/Doom-lite would still be appropriate to define games that are closer to a Doom type game than your CoD or Counter Strike. You could make a similar argument for the style of play Stardew Valley offers compared to literally Farming Simulator 20XX.
But you could also argue it gives the reader/consumer a quicker understanding of what to expect from the game. Especially in the case of this article where there isn’t a way to clearly define/ label what to excpet from the game.
In all fairness, I only know them as subs mainly because of Subway. Before that, I probably would have considered it a roll.
But I am Australian
You have more faith in me than I do xD
Appreciate the kind words
Often… I have sometimes spent hours trying to photoshop faces of my mates (with permission) on random objects or random scenarios, like a cat or kettle, trying to make it look as normal as my skills allow for a 1-off joke.
I like the idea to counteract the grogginess of the sleeping tablet, but I lack the knowledge to know if that would work.
I’m guessing it would have been digested by then, right?
My great grandfather’s name was Hilary. My nan wasn’t entirely impressed when I mention it was a girls name as a kid xD
