I’m much more interested in one side of that equation than the other but yes, that’s a beautiful dream.

When you’re in the shower you can see the penis
That sort of introspection seems so easy, at least in conceptual form, doesn’t it? I’m not saying it’s easy to change your attitudes and behaviors with the goal of becoming a better person but it takes a special kind of asshole to be unable to follow even the logic of your post without outside assistance. So many people live their lives that way and I honestly can’t fathom it. Most mentalities I can understand even if I can’t relate to them but that kind of narcissistic controlling behavior is so foreign to me that I can’t even begin to empathize with someone who thinks that way. I can’t put myself in those shoes because my brain won’t let me completely disregard other people.
Just to be clear, that doesn’t mean I’m perfect by any means. I’m an asshole on a fairly regular basis just like everyone. But god damn, how do you just not care at all about how your actions impact the people in your life?
Christian tradition, sure, but the Bible doesn’t have much to say about nipples so any specific rule regarding them seems to be more of an inference than a command.
Why are both of these so veiny? Also, why does the word veiny and both of these pictures make me think of dicks? Am I the inevitable perverted product of an overly sexualized society or are these drawings intentionally evoking phallic symbolism? WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?
For real. I’m at the point where I’ve lost my tolerance for this whole situation. If we can’t collectively decide that this is a fucking ridiculous place to be as a country and make the only choice that has even a chance of getting us out of this mess then we need to hurry up and get the collapse over with. It’s utterly asinine that we are even having this conversation.
You laugh, but we’re getting closer and closer to this every day
Yes it sucks but that’s reality. Until half of America stops being fascist sympathizers at best this is what you have to deal with.
You guys are looking at the choice between eating a salad and swallowing a cyanide pill and complaining that you’d rather have pizza. Unfortunately, pizza isn’t on the table and if you do nothing that cyanide pill is getting forced down everyone’s throat. Complain about it as much as you like but at the end of the day you better choke down that god damn salad before we all get completely fucked over.
I’ve definitely heard this quote prior to 2018. I won’t pretend to know who said it first but there’s no way it originated then.
There’s plenty of good men out there. Society as a whole just seems largely uninterested in men’s problems. They’re expected to always have their shit together in a world designed to make that as difficult as possible to achieve.
I’m sure some people reading that will have strong reactions to the sentiment but it shouldn’t be controversial to say that everybody has problems. If we don’t listen to them then the Andrew Tate’s of the world will step in and make them feel heard. That’s just how people work.
Sure it is. If you want people to trust you then be trustworthy. Attempting to reclaim funds handed out during a disaster that were ridiculously difficult to obtain in the first place is not what I would call worthy of trust. If my experience with FEMA had been a positive one I’d be here saying good things about them but I’m not and that is entirely their fault, not Russia’s.
Thanks, I hope it goes better for most people. For what it’s worth the FEMA employees we talked to in person seemed to be genuinely interested in helping but that’s a big part of why it was so frustrating; the people on the ground were saying very different things than the people sending emails and approving funding.
I’m normally a big advocate of government programs but FEMA does kind of suck. My family lost a house in a natural disaster in the recent past and they were a nightmare to work with. They refused to offer any assistance without a significant amount of paperwork, they were constantly badgering us with seemingly unrelated questions, waited 6 months to pay out less than 5% of what the property was worth, and eventually decided we shouldn’t have gotten that and are still trying to get it back. On top of all that the IRS is auditing my family primarily due to this whole situation. My family is in a good enough financial position that we didn’t have to rely solely on their aid but if we did we would have been fucked for 6 months at least. The family member dealing with them still says he wishes he had turned them away and received no assistance at all.
All that to say, there’s legitimate reasons that people don’t like FEMA unrelated to Russian influence. My personal experience with them has been overwhelmingly negative to the point that I would not be happy to see them under any circumstances. I wouldn’t be out hunting them like some weirdo but that doesn’t mean I have a positive opinion of what they do.
I think what you’re saying is a reasonable take. I’m just not sure that’s how unreasonable people see the situation and that’s what we’re dealing with. So much of this is uncharted territory that I don’t think we can rely on how things should play out.
If Trump doesn’t get elected, he can’t weasel out of his legal problems, which is his only way out of them.
In normal times you’re absolutely correct. However, this isn’t a traditional election. I think it’s pretty clear that they’re not planning on letting something like losing the election stop them from gaining power. November 5th is not the end of the war it’s the start of the next battle.
You are right that voting is the best thing people can do to help us win between now and then though. We just need to be prepared to do more. Every American needs to consider the question “how much am I willing to risk to maintain democracy?” because it is more likely now than at any point in our lives that more will be required of us.
That question summarizes most of the problems in the US pretty damn well.
Like so many world issues, without a meaningful enforcement mechanism this is a pointless question to ask. Not to mention the added layer of irony in threatening to take military action to force a lower level of military activity.
There’s zero chance Trump can swing a golf club faster than someone 12 years younger and in much better shape than him. Even so, club speed is pretty far from the most important aspect of golf.
However, the funniest part of that post is that he thinks calling out low club speed is a sick burn to hit someone with that most people can relate to. That’s so out of touch he might as well be trying to talk trash by saying Cuban’s mansion only has 8 bathrooms in it.
That’s pretty clearly just a disclaimer meant to shield them from legal repercussions. They know people aren’t going to do that.
Ok sure, but if you frame the conversation to mean the limit would be set at $400k/year then you’re missing the point. We’re talking billionaires not single digit millionaires. Despite how those numbers sound to the average person there’s several orders of magnitude between them.
