Yeah, I’m not going to trust anything in the article, but I have to admit that it was a fun rabbit hole to fall down for a moment.

Yeah, this meme was the first I’ve heard of it, but from some googling, apparently conspiracy forums have been obsessed with this weird “censored” pattern in space since like 6 or 7 years ago. Reading old threads that were using this to predict the end of the world in 2017 while it’s currently 2024 is pretty entertaining.

Twitter reminds me of the worst parts of the old “wild west” internet now. There’s still some good content, but it’s hidden among scams, skeezy porn ads, and some of the worst opinions you’ve ever read.

I feel pretty immune to that kind of stuff, but it’s a huge culture shock after browsing moderated social media.

Maybe it’s the perspective, but it looks like an adult man’s head on a kid’s body.

I’m a big XCOM fan, but I haven’t ever given this game a shot since it was so different. Will have to check it out.
