Not shit, but isn’t that what brought about mad cow disease? Farmers were feeding cattle brain matter that had infected prions. Idk if it was cows eating cow brains or other animals though.

I think that the post may be a violation of law and it’s just not being charged. It’s like pulling someone over for speeding, and giving them a warning instead of a ticket.
I’m perfectly okay with people in charge of protecting national security following up on threatening posts that may put the life of the VP in danger. I wouldn’t be okay if they forced entry or overstepped their power. I didn’t think following up like this is crossing any lines and is arguably the best way to handle something like this.
What do you feel would be more prudent, just to leave it be?
Holy whataboutism Batman.
Nah. If you post rhetoric online that might get someone killed, you get visited by the top brass. Clearly he doesn’t have to talk or let them in, but their visit lead to his posts being removed and now he knows he’s being watched and has been warned. If he posts something again like that, they may just get that warrant but now they may not need to.
I’m looking trying a new distro on my junker laptop. I’m kde and Arch right now. Do you have any recommendations for where I should test the waters? I don’t have any intentions with this machine other than testing distros and couch surfing.
A rollercoaster. It was dropping until the cheese thing, which I think is just normal, unspoken behavior. Sounds to me like a bout of depression, or at least what I think is depression. I 100% get the same lethargy to life, and it tends to come in waves.
If you haven’t, I’d look at having a chat with a professional. I’m not a good role model for this, but I have pushed through the lulls more times than I care to admit, and it gets tougher every year. The negative thoughts set in and create this negative feedback loop that makes functioning difficult, and digs a hole that’s hard to climb out of.
Anecdotally, if this is new to you, it doesn’t make for a happy life. I’m working to get help, but there are roadblocks. I would encourage you to try the same. If it doesn’t help, then you can cross that bridge later. If it does, then you’ll be in a much better place and the light will shine again.
…or the Internet really is just shitty.
Doing something that will almost assuredly kill you is a suicide attempt.
Starting ones self on fire is a suicide attempt, regardless of political motive. This isn’t the same as sky diving or even trying to see the Titanic in a carbon fiber pod, this is pure and simple, self immolation to death that failed, so far.
They were suicidal, and now they’re trapped.
I get around $120 a week to sell my plasma in the middle of the US at a BioLife center. Payment varies a little depending on the center you go to and various promotions, but it’s usually pretty close. It’s about 2-3 hours a week commitment.
In college, the money was necessary, but now I do it for extra side cash. My wife and I own a home, two vehicles, and are doing well, so I don’t need the money. I do it to supplement non budgeted items for fun, like weed, one or more snowboarding trips to actual elevation, and bass guitars and bass guitar accessories to name a few. Could it pay more? Probably, but I don’t feel like I’m getting ripped off for the time I’m giving.
I used to double dip, and do my hourly job while donating, which got me out of the office earlier, and got extra money. Now I’m salary and have meetings and shit.
My former boss told me that. I asked him if he’d ever been to highschool, because nobody would shit in a litterbox if people knew about it, and no school would be stupid enough to engage in such a ridiculous idea.
I jumped right in the deep end with Arch. I’ve been a sys admin for about a decade and in IT for another 5 years, so I’m good with computers, but more importantly, I’m good at searching for and finding solutions to my problems. It was a bit rocky for the first setup, but been mostly smooth sailing since Jan or Feb. I reformatted to change to btrfs and snapper after the first month or two.
I still don’t know a lot about how Linux works or where any of the config files are, but I’m learning. I’m all on the bandwagon.
I went cold turkey to Linux this past December. Best choice I’ve ever made. I am still stuck on Windows for work and I assist friends and family with their stuff, but otherwise I’m happily out of the system.
Everything about it is so bad. It’s like someone woke up one day and thought, what is the legally worst piece of software I can make and force in people?
Any company worth anything will keep recall disabled. Obviously, with Microsoft, it will get “accidentally” activated in an update, so admins will have to play whack a mole, but nobody should enable that malware when it’s released.
Sounds like they are advertising a paid option.
You can run it from a live USB, which is also the install media. It’s not persistent, so if it restarts, you lose data. It’s a good easy to say last year it without making any changes. Like others mentioned, I wouldn’t dual boot.
Regardless, what’s this have to do with the article posted? These action go directly against the point I think you’re trying to make.
I put the pipe into a baggie and cover in iso alcohol. I put water in my ultrasonic cleaner and then put the baggie in the water. My cleaner has an option to heat the water, and I do that because I think it helps, but not necessary. Then a 6 minute cycle, I’ll dump the alcohol, fill with water and run a short cycle to rinse everything well. Then just manually rinse everything off until I’m good. Sometimes after the first cycle, I’ll take the baggie out and give it a good aggressive shake, and run a second round just to make sure.
I use a mighty vaporizer most of the time, so I’m usually cleaning the capsules and mouthpiece, but I do my pipe at the same time, so it usually doesn’t get a big tar ball between cleanings. The first time I used it, I had a peanut M&M sized ball that didn’t desolve, but everything else washed free, so it was loose inside. I put my air hose nozzle on the mouth, a quick blast in the trash, and it was done.
A lot of people recommend little jewelry cleaners which I think are under $50, but I grabbed a larger one from harbor freight for a little over $80 and I think it was the right choice. I have a glass bubbler attachment for my vape that gets gnarly on the inside, and it’s kind of long and wouldn’t fit in a smaller cleaner.
I will often pause educational videos to study something on screen. Putting ads over that ruins the experience.
I have YT premium mainly for YT music, but I do consume a lot (read: too much) YT content. I split the family plan with 4 other members outside of my wife and I, so it’s like $3 per month for just me. I’m not logged in on my work computer, and the amount of ads is insanely intrusive and a off putting. I honestly think that if I didn’t have a premium sub, I’d almost never use the platform because it’s so bad.
