Is it? He single handedly tanked the opportunity to find a strong Democrat candidate through a primary. After being forced out he repeatedly made comments that saddled Harris with his baggage.

He’s not 100% to blame, but no one is. He is probably about 30-40% of the problem though.

I think the voters who voted for Trump are probably at least 90% to blame for Trump being elected by voters into office?

Sure, but Biden/Harris hemmorrhaged about 15,000,000 voters between 2020 and 2024 due to lacking messaging that appealed to the electorate. Turns out that “this guy is a fascist but also we want to do bipartisanship with his party” doesn’t really appeal to people.

And I think staying home was stupid. But at the end of the day, i actually don’t care much about Harris losing…Trump winning is what I’m upset with. And sure, there are strategic and comms failings by the Harris campaign that made room for they eventuality, but fundamentally the metastasized cancer is personified by the large number of people who specifically elected this piece of shit. I refuse to absolve voters of culpability for their fucking votes and that’s where the ultimate responsibility lies.

          Easily 60%

Biden is trying to skate on his “Oh I’m an old grandpa looking figure, look at my creepy-ass smile.”

As though people will forget how his actions (and inactions) curated the requirements for our current scenario. Including giving Harris a nearly impossible task, which she also managed to flub as hard as possible while lighting a BILLION dollars on fire.

I’d hesitate to give him that much blame, as Harris could have ran a campaign that more aggressively separated herself from the administration, or one that campaigned for things instead of against Trump. She deserves an equal or greater amount of the blame.

Biden undermined democracy by preventing a proper primary from taking place. The voters never got to nominate a candidate, and the establishment thrust a candidate on them that had already been rejected in a previous primary. That’s the establishment’s fault, and Biden if the face of the Democratic establishment.

If you don’t see the direct connection between how Biden has governed and how that set up Trump to win, I don’t know that you can be helped.

Biden had a very weak presence his entire presidency. On occasion I think he actually did okay things, but you almost never heard about them because he did such a bad job of bragging about it. And the same is true for Harris.

Obviously there are many reasons why people win and lose presidential elections, so you don’t get to blame one person for 150 million votes or whatever it was. But if you were choosing people to put at the top of the list of who made a significant difference, I think you would say that Donald Trump and Joe Biden are way up there.
