“Those people . . . ” Donald said, trailing off. “The shape they’re in, all the expenses, maybe those kinds of people should just die.”
“I don’t know,” he finally said, letting out a sigh. “He doesn’t recognize you. Maybe you should just let him die and move down to Florida.”
Wait! What did he just say? That my son doesn’t recognize me? That I should just let him die?
Did he really just say that? That I should let my son die . . . so I could move down to Florida
Yeah, the Nazis were of the same opinion. First they locked them all away and then euthanized countless people with physical and mental disabilities.
This is what’s in your future America, if you don’t get your ass up and vote against Trump. And when you’re already up, look around you and make sure others around you can and do too.
Donald says the quiet part out loud again. “If they’re not useful anymore, get rid of them.” Callous as ever, the contrast with Harris couldn’t be clearer.
The problem it’s these people are not useful since ever, I believe this is the kind of stuff why there are Nordic countries legislating about euthanasia…
Euthanasia is a personal choice. It’s completely different from whatever the fuck you are implying.
Maybe you should believe less and fact check more.
Do some soul searching and come back better. This troll thing you got going on ain’t it.
This quote sounds a lot more like eugenics than euthanasia.
Based on your comments, you’re not very useful either so… you know
I’d like you to do some research on that and come back here and write about what you found.
Maybe I shouldn’t have been surprised to hear Donald say that. It wasn’t far off from what he’d said that day in the Oval Office after our meeting with the advocates. Only that time, it was other people’s children who should die. This time, it was my son.
What did he expect? At least he sticks to his terrible standards even when it’s (distant) family
Screw this guy. He didn’t care about all the terrible crap his uncle said before. Now he finally cares because he said it about him.
I agree with the emotional reaction. Still people are allowed to learn and grow. No matter why.
Did he learn and grow or did he just change his mind about this one thing? If he didn’t have empathy before, it’s likely he still doesn’t realize why he was wrong before.
When are good humble people going to wake up and start putting these demons on their place? My brother has a disability, if I had Trump and a weapon in front of me, I’d 100% do it. Hell, I’d push my thumbs in his eyes until popping two holes inside his brain if it had to come down to that, I don’t care if I fail, if I look cringy or pathetic while doing it, crying, screaming and all that, blah blah, nobody gives a fuck about me “trying to appear tough”, because I am not, I don’t care about that dumb shit contrarians keep bringing up like ill fools, just get the deed done and move on, nobody is ever going to miss an eugenicist, and you will be forever remembered as a massive hero, a real human being, for taking action against such despicable garbage
Let’s say Don is now supportive of medical assistance (MAID) in dying. That’d be a better way to look at it. I wonder if that became a point of discussion whether he could actually be persuaded to support it. Although, there is an issue with some medical assistance in dying policy being too lenient, so not sure how to thread that needle.
