And you’re wrong. Farmers and grocery stores are already operating on thin margins. Sure we could double subsidies but then why not just make food free instead? How about we just make food free for people who can’t afford it, maybe with some sort of special card

Correct, all of that can be done with a normal database. And with a normal centralized service you can just tie a ticket to someone’s ID instead of their wallet address.
And in fact, with the wallet address ownership you could just make a new wallet per ticket purchase and then sell the whole wallet via paypal. Circumventing the whole smart contract thing.
Imo the only advantage to NFTs is that the DB can’t ever go down or be altered. But if you trust amazon you could instead just use an append-only hosted database like QLDB.

I’ve changed my opinion on police over the past few years. As someone who rides public transit a lot, I’m often scared. My city (Portland) wasn’t so dangerous in the past. I carry a gun now after some bad situations and I wish I didn’t feel the need to.
90% of my interactions with police around here have been positive and I’m disagreeing with you about adding cops not reducing crime.
1000% yes to body cams though.

Reusable zip ties.
Tons of mini magnets and metal clothes pins (infinite bag closing clamps for near free).
My victorinox signature with a pocket clip (keysmart nano clip). It’s a tiny swiss army knife with a built in pen. Comes in handy almost daily an never leaves my waistband otherwise.
I got into mechs and bought a bunch of them over a few years, my last one being a ducky with silent reds.
3 years ago I bought a microsoft ergo keyboard and have never looked back. So comfortable.
Now, maybe what I should have bought was an ergodox, but I’m too happy to justify spending $150+ to try it out.
