Imo, yes. I think there are 2 factors to this.

1st is being more technically minded people tend to prefer and/or are able to move here.

2nd is being that the people here want fediverae to do well, so they try to be active by answering questions they would have just looked at and moved on on reddit (guilty)

The remaining people there cried about it.

There are at least some people in piracy communities that are glad the complainers stayed behind

Yep… balance voting. Like 90% of my votes on reddit was to balance the vote in one way or the other
