Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but it felt like Hiccup’s “You just pointed at all of me” quip.

I don’t remember fully about that airport(after all, it is a full 20 mins from my house) but as i recall this is a major Delta hub, and because of that the entire section where they board and then move to taxi is all Delta only.
It’s just so common here. It’s an automatic assumption that a snide culture comment isn’t about America but those of us with some melanin in our skin.
Yeah, JWs (I’m ex) believe climate change is foretold in Rev 11:18, which says (dunno which version, just googled, but not the JW version as it uses ruining the Earth);
The nations raged, but your wrath came, and the time for the dead to be judged, and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear your name, both small and great, and for destroying the destroyers of the earth.
Italics mine. JW version is bring >“to ruin those ruining the Earth.” Either way, they believe that means God will stop and destroy those bringing about climate change. Since it relies on God, it’s another one that really doesn’t help even if they believe in in, because they believe God will stop it before it’s too late.
Networking, we had a remote office in Europe (I’m in the US) and wanted to reset a phone. Phone was on port 10 of the Cisco switch, port 1 went to the firewall (not my design, already in place).
Helping my coworker, I tell her to shut port 10.
Shut port 1, enter.
Ok… office is offline and on another continent…
They’re likely translated, not literal. Might be harder to find, and some may be up to interpretation. I’m certainly not up to date on everything going on with him, so I can’t say.
Don’t even know what it stands for. I don’t recall feeling a strong specific vibe from .ee people. By vibe I mean, I see a lot of people from that instance giving a vibe. Explaining it is complicated, so I won’t try, but based on some instances I feel there is a general feeling of how users may feel about certain topics, but .ee isn’t one I have any baseline for.
(Standard I listen to Knowledge Fight, not Alex Jones directly disclaimer.) I’ve heard extended rants from Alex Jones about the state parks he goes to. During covid he was whining on and on about limitations there, and on another occasion complained about not being able to drink openly there. When he wasn’t whining about it, he was waxing fondly of how much he enjoys it. So yeah, a lot of monsters still like public parks and nature(sometimes just killing it, since he talks about hunting a lot too.)
Yeah, this feels like straight and narrow by an old man using old slang. Not that I doubt Trump being a raging homophobe, it’s just the other context clues in the sentence.
I’m imagining that last line said with a thousand yard stare.
Or just vacation packages. I’ll teleport your family to <insert expensive flight destination of choice> for the price of just 1 ticket, or half that, etc. My siblings and cousins wanted to do a family trip with ticket prices between 1-2k usd per person.
People like these? I do em all the time but always feel I’m overexplaining.
As someone living in GA and previously lived in Florida and also being parked skinned, the assumptions of the south are indeed not always correct… but enough stuff is happening in these places that I gotta say it’s much lower in my list of priorities. Let’s get some of this nasty stuff gone before getting upset about stereotypes. I do think I agree with your statement of the name though.
It’s the best years of their lives. They got to bully people and teachers didn’t punish them… it went downhill from there. Not all of course, but the bully types, most likely.
Kif, we have a conundrum.
I had a real Don Glover moment too where I had heard people replace the Chat with shit but didn’t realize telling the people hiring me they could just call me Shat would sound weird.
Boss later told me how weird it was explaing to the team that Shat would be joining the team soon.
“He goes by Shat?”
“That’s what he told me.”
Exactly why I have to take it in bursts. Even Knowledge Fight makes me (usually) less depressed/angry in general (though Alex can really piss me off, but he’s also fucking stupid and I can at least laugh at him more often), so BtB is the hardest to consistently listen to for me. Not because it isn’t good, but because well, the eponymous bastards earn that title.
43: chuckles, I’m in danger.
Lots of games are also called Roguelike. Based off a game called Rogue. The makers of Rogue do not get to sue the makers of Hades.
Pets that fight for you, including being able to store them for portable carry has been done by many other games, including Ark. In fact, playing Palworld made me compare it more to Ark than Pokemon: base building, automation, catching dinos/animals/monsters of different varieties for different uses. Some can fly, some run, some can be used as parachutes. Some help automate actions at base. There is a tech tree unlocked by leveling, starting with primitive weapons and moving on to guns and higher caliber guns. Blueprints are common in ark for higher quality crafts to build at, you guessed it, crafting benches.
Collecting wood, stone, metals, etc. Also the animal assistants can help there too, but only certain ones. Also, Ark has cryopods for storing your animals/dinosaurs. You even throw em to release.
If they had exactly Pikachu or something it’s one thing, but similar games are just part of the business.
