Well yeah, driving people to quit to save money on severance from the impending layoffs is the whole point of forcing them to return to the office
Armed minorities are harder to oppress

One could just block it if they wished, but many users feel that their only way to give real feedback is by downvoting it. The Lemmy World admins have clearly shown they will not remove it no matter how the userbase feels.
If it simply gave the admins/mods feedback about sites, there wouldn’t be very much pushback. But since it’s in every story, giving an opinion of the news organization, it is attempting to influence the conversation.
So it will be removed after the election, right?
Agreed - they want your money here, not your liberty.

Heavier (6,898 pounds compared to 5,540 for the F-150), lithium fire risk, inattentive drivers using the FSD
This is all on top of how dangerous American trucks have become to others
More importantly, Anderson has eight vehicles. GEICO is only choosing to terminate the insurance coverage from Cybertruck and is actively pursuing renewal of his vehicle coverage for the rest. This leaves no doubt that GEICO’s issue is directly related to the Tesla Cybertruck and not to Anderson or other factors.
Why would someone own 8 vehicles?
Robert added, “It makes no sense, as there are other, riskier cars out there. Let me know if you recommend any insurer for the truck. I have eight cars with an amazing record. I will be canceling my entire Geico policy!! Bye-bye!”
I can’t think of a vehicle that is more likely to be a risk to others than the Cybertruck. I’m sure insurance adjusters see how people use Tesla FSD in spite of its shortcomings. The truck is heavy as hell and breaks in all sorts of ways others vehicles don’t.
Agreed, having a minimum speed sign on a stroad is just begging for pedestrian deaths. It would be such an obvious liability that nobody in charge of transportation would allow it.
Sure, everyone that has a job that can be done from home should be permitted to do it from home if they want to.
What the best performers rhetoric is about is that these companies are harming their long term prospects by doing things like this, since the personnel that make the most money for the company are generally the ones that can easily leave for another company that will not treat them like a child that needs to be directly monitored.
So Dell wants to do a layoff of sales staff, and is going to lose their best performers first.
I believe it’s to protect the prongs from getting damaged during shipping - and if the container gets rained on or something, it could provide some protection from that
It demonstrates a lower level of gun safety around minors. It’s awful if they can gain unsupervised possession of the weapon, it’s even worse if they can get the ammo too. The fact it’s a stolen gun is just the cherry on top here.
I installed from one flash drive with the image (on ventoy) to another flash drive that was plugged in to be the boot drive. On a cheap USB2 drive, it’s unusably slow - so make sure you use the fastest drive you can
His credit card was a fraud, his last festival was a fraud, he has been convicted of fraud.
You would have to be a world class dumbass to fall for this
Every time someone claps to their own words, their intent is to antagonize instead of communicate a point
It’s not harmful, but it really depends on what roles you’re trying to land.
I usually recommend going for A+ then Network+, then Linux+ for new technicians at data centers.
If you’re worried about interviewing, I can say from the other side of the table that actual projects and working through issues shows experience more clearly than simply studying for and passing a cert. Even something simple like setting your desktop/server to be the DHCP server (instead of the router being the DHCP server)
