“Some random people on the internet are saying ___” is not news and it is not journalism. It never has been. It never will be.
I feel like I’ve seen more people calling this out lately; glad to see it.
You could say the same for gizmodo. Maybe that’s why they’re covering it.
not news
That wasn’t even an article. In fact I’m pretty sure it never said shit about our simulated world. But I’m drunk so maybe it did but I’m not clicking that again
Because the eclipse couldn’t be a simulation too? Morons.
This just in: Religious Horseshit is Horseshit. More at 11.
How is it that, in this day and age, people still freak out about solar eclipses? Hell, we’ve had two total eclipses in the US in the past 10yrs with one of them happening last year. Why now and not then?
Because these people have the attention of goldfish
The article briefly mentioned it, but I want to say that the “eclipse tips” slide deck behind that loon is actually just decent preparedness and planning tips for every situation. From a rational perspective, every single town in the path of totality is going to be the busiest it’s been in decades. For people that live in and around those towns, you will need to plan ahead to account for traffic and cellular issues.
Edit: I judged this article before I read it, it’s worth a read. It’s easy to do if you assume things about this article like I did
Yeah, bullshit. People have been prophesying the end of the world practically since it started, and we haven’t had ONE apocalypse. With our luck, this shit’ll never end!
TikTok is an amazing exercise in the things people will do for attention.
Too much Matrix for them…

“TikTokers” don’t think. Unless it’s about filming themselves.
