Is this game any good? I’ve been so busy this past year that it completely flew right by me, dispite Dying Light being one of my favorite games

I’ve played through most of it. It’s fun and worth playing, but it’s both a lesser zombie survival experience, and a lesser parkour experience compared to the first game. It fell victim to the iconic Ubisoft-style open world map marker collection disease. Same soup, but watered down and reheated.

The story is meh. You are the chosen one with a macguffin, big bad evil guy wants it, conflict ensues.

Also, they added a stamina bar.

      Yes. And no.

I much prefer the rope physics in DL2. And the parkour. But the story, and sidemissions arent as good. And nights are less dark, and less dangerous. And melee combat feels wrong. And grinding zombie parts to item upgrades for so many gadgets, its just too slow and too expensive. In the end I had fun with it though.

        And melee combat feels wrong.

I just played the game during the free weekend on Steam and stopped when I hit the first zombie.

What happened? Hitting zombies in DL1 was crunchy and satisfying. Now you just spam left mouse button, there’s no weight in your attacks at all.

Wow this is very disappointing, I loved both melee and parkour from the first game. Melee being so bad now is a red flag. I have this game wishlisted for when I have time to play it. Thanks for the heads up.
