Summary

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s proposal for a rapid peace deal with Russia, arguing it would lead to a “loss” for Ukraine.

Trump, who has repeatedly claimed he could resolve the war in 24 hours, aims for a quick end, but Zelenskyy insists that a rushed settlement would compromise Ukraine’s independence.

Speaking in Budapest, Zelenskyy also rejected Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s call for a cease-fire, citing failed attempts in 2014.

Additionally, he warned of North Korean troop involvement in Ukraine if Western allies don’t increase political pressure on Pyongyang.

Ukraine don’t want to give up territory. Russia demands territory to end the war. Trump has offered to resolve this in 24h. The conclusion seems clear: Trump has to offer Russia some parts of the US in exchange for releasing the occupied regions in Ukraine?

They were given that choice before invasion. No NATO = no Invasion. Keep territory.

Now that they forced Russia to invade and spend lives and money - there will be price to pay and that means territorial concessions.

“They forced Russia”. How? By already letting Russia keep Crimea?

Russia invaded before any NATO stuff happened though? Repeatedly, time after time? Almost like Putin is an evil piece of shit you support?

Lol man. Do u think negotiations happen when your local newspaper prints about it? No one talks about these things with newspapers.
When it comes to actions Talks were done by that point for a long time.

The issue started when Ukraine added NATO to its constitution and started talking about nuclear status.

The issue started when Russia invaded, after the last time they invaded, after the time before that they invaded. Russia gave a peace treaty, broke it themselves, and is now having a 3 day military operation show that the country is not particularly powerful in a military fashion.
